blasphemy
I interviewed Coleman Hughes for the Improv Journal three years ago. I wanted to talk about improvisation with people not identified with musical improvising but do so in other ways. He is a rapper, a sometimes stand up and public intellectual. It was one of the first interviews I did for the journal, unfortunately too short a conversation. I wish I could try again, I have other questions now. Last week I see him on CNN in big election analysis fights not much different than his song Blasphemy, for which he made a pretty memorable video in Russia (?) I think. He was flattered when I said it reminded me of Kanye, it does. Super creative and the main hook uses a theremin.
